So much to say, so little time

I know I have a lot of catching up to do. So I'm going to do it in bullet point form:
-Parents were here March 25-April 5ish. It was a BLAST. We stayed in Bordeaux, in a beautiful apartment downtown and I got to show them around my city. We also went wine tasting and climbed the largest sand dune in Europe (La dune de pyla). It was an incredible week. We went up to Paris and Andeville to see the Portiers for the weekend which was again, incredible. Amazing food, compliments of Veronique, great company and it was a blast having my two families reunited.

-The next weekend (last weekend), I went to London to visit my mom because she had to stay longer for a client. We saw Billy Elliot, shopped, went on a cheesy bus tour and really just enjoyed each others company. The coolest thing that happened in London was during the Billy Elliot show. It was the main characters last performance after a year and a half of being Billy Elliot and after one of his solo performances, the entire audience just kept clapping. It was a magical moment for him to be sure.

-This last week has been CHAOS. I got back from London on Monday night and had to work on an expose final for méthodologie that was on Tuesday with Sandy. That finished, went to a cool dinner with our kick ass professor and came back home, to face studying for a history oral that was 100% of  my grade and write a photography final paper. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper the last few days but can successfully say that I have finished 3 of my 5 classes and am happy with the results. Whew.

-Just in time as well, because I leave for the Loire Valley tomorrow afternoon with Sandy. We are going couchsurfing and seeing Chateaux for 3 days before we head to the Paris airport for a night and then GREECE for a week. SO STOKED. More on this later.

Some other observations:

- A lecture and a section here are completely different. They each have their own finals and talk about different things, even though it is the same class. Luckily I dont have to take my History lecture final and passed the section oral fine.

-Speaking of said oral, I had the worst time finding my TA's office to take it. When I had asked him where his office was, he literally said "in that building"...which is the biggest building on campus. I spent 15 mins before my final scanning every door and ever placard trying to find his name. I finally asked and found his office...10 mins late. But it was ok....I got there 5 minutes before he did.

- It stays light here now til about 10pm. I LOVE IT. Such a better concept than in January, when I would be at school before the sun came up and still there when it set.

-Teaching French people how to play Beer Pong is a blast.

That is all for right now. I'm going to...pack.

A toute!
